(the e2fsprogs directory is too twisty and evil to easily fix, but I plan
to rewrite it anyway so I'll just bump that up in priority a bit).

BTW: I've ripped out a lot of debug code and changed c++ // comments to /* */
as both were rather confusing for a newbie like me. ;-)

I know that this makes mantaining the code easier, but I'm simple minded....
