The fbset utility would not respect "rgba" config entries in
the fb.modes file such as this (for the ARM Integrator/CP):
mode "640x480-60-clcd"
# D: 25.175 MHz, H: 31.469 kHz, V: 59.94 Hz
geometry 640 480 640 480 16
timings 39722 48 16 33 10 96 2
rgba 5/10,5/5,5/0,1/15
endmode
This is important especially for this ARGB5551 device which
is hopeless to configure otherwise. I noticed this lacking
feature after the TI "fbtest" program managed to set up the
the colormode correctly.

This change retains "or later" state! No licensing _changes_ here,
only form is adjusted (article, space between "GPL" and "v2" and so on).

Previously a 640x480 PPM on an e.g. 720x400 console would just segfault when
reading the lines. While this bug should perhaps be fixed to handle such cases
properly we just exit gracefully until somebody is willing to take care of it
properly.
|
|
E.g. fbset -n '16bit'
succeeded at 'mode "640x480 16bit"' and that is wrong.
Also parser is rewritten. By Vladimir.

things like xasprintf() into xfuncs.c, remove xprint_file_by_name() (it only
had one user), clean up lots of #includes... General cleanup pass. What I've
been doing for the last couple days.
And it conflicts! I've removed httpd.c from this checkin due to somebody else
touching that file. It builds for me. I have to catch a bus. (Now you know
why I'm looking forward to Mercurial.)

all the apps to include their own header files. I also fixed naming for pwd.h
and grp.h functions. Tested to compile and run with libc5, glibc, and uClibc.
