More mkroot.sh work.
Replace CROSS_SHORT with CROSS
log CROSS=all build output
Unset stupid kernel defaults (such as VGA tty /dev nodes).
Only pass through standard environment variables, require control vars
(LINUX= ALL= CROSS=) to be set on command line.
In init script, bring up loopback net and run sub-init scripts if any.
